Christian has assisted, looked after and restaged numerous play and musicals from the King’s Head to the West End, from Shakespeare on National Tour to Disney extravaganzas Internationally.
Christian is currently the International Associate on Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID, which began in Holland. He then staged the entire show in Russia, which went on to win Best Musical & Best Actress at the Golden Mask Awards. He then developed and restaged the production further in Japan, where it has been running for over 6 years. He is also the UK Associate on HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, which has just done a National Tour and is due to return later this year.
Associate & Resident Directing
He started off assisting on the original production of Boy George’s TABOO (The VENUE), then as Associate on the Broadway production before returning to direct the UK National Tour (Best Musical, Manchester Evening News Award). He has been resident on THE KING AND I (National Tour) and on CHICAGO (West End). Associate work includes ZORRO (West End & National Tour), GUYS AND DOLLS (Donmar National Tour) and PURE IMAGINATION (St James).
He has also been the Associate on plays including Michael Pennington’s KING LEAR for Max Webster (Royal and Derngate / National Tour) and on Rik Mayall’s THE NEW STATESMAN for Jennie Darnell (National Tour).
